Fridtjof Nansen - Scientist and Humanitarian
The exhibition tells the story of Nansen's work during the Russian famine after the First World War. Nansen helped thousands of people from starvation, and did an incredible effort in the repatriation of more than 400 000 prisoners of war from 26 different countries around Europe. Fridtjof Nansen was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1922. A real Nansen Passport is exhibited as well as some of Nansen's personal belongings.
