Christmas Markets:
New 2007!
Every day from 29.11 to 23.12 you will have the possibility to enjoy the largest Christmas market in Oslo’s history! In the harbour in front of the city hall the square will be filled with stand and tents, lit and decorated for Christmas. There will also be an outdoor stage with concerts and other entertainment.

In December you should also try ice-skating right in the heart of the city - and if the weather permits it - toboggan at Korketrekkeren or go alpine skiing at Oslo Winter Park Tryvann!

OPENING HOURS DURING CHRISTMAS:
Shopping 2007:
Most shops have extended opening hours in December, and the last two weeks before Christmas most shops are even open on Sundays (from 2-6pm). The law allows the shops to stay open the last three Sundays before Christmas (from 14-20), but this will vary from shop to shop and from area to area in Oslo. The big shopping malls in the city centre, will most likely be open the last three Sundays.

Attractions:
Most attractions have reduced opening hours during the Christmas holidays. 24.12-25.12 and 31.12-01.01 most of the attractions are closed (Holmenkollen is open every day).
